About Open Studios

​Our very first exhibition, in 2010, was held mainly in the United Church, Crowborough, with local shop windows also showcasing local artists' work. This morphed into Open Studios, with more or less that same form as we have it today.

This year, we have a record 45 artists taking part across 19 venues. In addition to our Crowborough participants, we now have a well-established hub in Fairwarp, and - new for this year - 6 venues in Mayfield, as well as artists in Nutley and Rotherfield. 

The variety and quality of work on display is better than ever this year, ranging from emerging artists to established professional practitioners. Whether you're interested in paintings or drawings, ceramics, jewellery, or textiles, there's something for everyone. Have a look through our Artists' Gallery and plan your route on the map.
