Eligibility
  1. Exhibitors must be members of Crowborough Arts (CA).  You can join and pay your entry fee together when you submit your entry form.
  2. Work must be original, of a high standard and by the exhibiting artist.  Work in any medium, i.e., paint, textiles, sculpture, photography, papier mache, pottery, glass, etc will be accepted.
  3. The committee reserves the right to remove any work that may cause offence.
  4. ‘Groups’: for up to 5 exhibitors already working as a ‘group’ - eg quilters - and exhibiting at the same venue. Only the leader need be a member. Publicity will not be given to each individual. Each person can have up to 6 exhibits. The entry fee will be £10 per artist and the Group leader will be responsible for collecting the fee from each person, and paying the whole amount to Crowborough Arts.
Venues
  1. Solo venues: work should be as professionally displayed as possible, and you should be in attendance during opening times.
  2. Shared venues: if you do not have a venue CA will endeavour to find you somewhere to share with other exhibitors.
  3. Both shared and solo venues must be open during the hours stated. Where artists are exhibiting together, there must always be at least one artist in attendance during opening times. However, if you choose to leave your display, the responsibility for any loss or damage will be your own.
  4. You may wish to take out your own insurance. Safe access and the safety of your visitors is your responsibility.
 
Publicity
  1. As a condition of entry, every artist will distribute and disseminate publicity. You will be provided with flyers, posters and brochures to distribute and emails to forward to your contacts.
  2. Every studio is expected to work with neighbouring studios to coordinate signage and publicity.
  3. Each artist will have three images on the website to promote their work.
 
Dates
Open Studios 2024 will be on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September from 10am to 5pm each day. You may wish to set up on the Friday.
 
Entry fees
Members’ entry fee:               £35
If not a member:                     £55 (to include 12 months’ membership)
Group members:                    £10 each, with a minimum of £50 per group. The group leader to                                                           collect payment and send the fee for all, upon application. 

​Last date for entries is 31st March 2024. No applications can be accepted after this date.
