After four years at Newport Art College and three years at the Royal College of Art I taught for five years in the graphic design department at Birmingham College of Art. I then had to decide if I wanted to continue teaching or try and make a living as a designer. I chose design.
We, my family, moved south and after a couple of years working on a wide range of design projects I began specialising in work for the pharmaceutical industries. I ran my company for over thirty years. I believe competent draughtsmanship underpins visual creativity and I have always enjoyed drawing. My drawings exist only to challenge my powers of observation and ability to record. Modest objectives but quite difficult. |
