"I am primarily a painter and mostly work in oil, which I find versatile and a pleasure to handle. I am passionate about colour, together with a keen interest for the decorative and sense of place and mood. This helps to support strong imagery.

Subject matter derives from both memory and imagination, some figurative, others pure abstraction. My mixed media includes magical exotic boxes and free-standing 3D paintings. Having spent thirty eight years teaching lovely students, I realise I learnt as much from them as they did from me"
